Brand & Design Alignment

Translating luxury branding into a performance-driven system

The collection unified Floyd Mayweather’s luxury-forward brand identity with Hayabusa’s reputation for engineering-led performance equipment. The objective was not aesthetic alignment alone, but the creation of a scalable design language capable of extending across gloves, footwear, bags, and accessories.

This collection unified Mayweather’s luxury brand language with Hayabusa’s engineering standards, creating a cohesive design system applied across every category.

Full Development Process

End-to-end collection development

This collection was developed through a structured five-phase process, aligning brand strategy, product engineering, supplier coordination, and launch execution. Each stage reinforced performance standards while maintaining cross-category cohesion.

Concept Development

Translating brand strategy into tiered product concepts

Initial concepts translated the defined brand language into a structured three-tier product system. Each tier balanced performance features, material elevation, and visual restraint while maintaining cohesion across gloves, footwear, bags, and accessories.

Initial concepts translated the defined brand language into a clear three-tier product system. Each tier scaled performance, material elevation, and visual restraint while maintaining cohesion across gloves, footwear, bags, and accessories.

Full Collection Execution

The final collection spanned gloves, wraps, footwear, bags, and accessories unified through a tiered design system and executed across multiple suppliers for synchronized market launch.

Prototyping & Development

Managing cross-supplier complexity for a unified collection

Maintaining brand cohesion across six manufacturing partners required structured design governance across multiple product categories. Each supplier operated within different technical constraints, sampling capabilities, and production workflows. Alignment was achieved through rigorous technical documentation, standardized material systems, and iterative cross-supplier feedback to ensure the final collection delivered a unified design language at scale.

Delivering a cohesive collection across six manufacturers required structured coordination and design oversight.

Standardized tech packs, controlled material palettes, and iterative supplier feedback ensured every product reflected a unified brand language.

Sample Refinement

Throughout development, each prototype was systematically evaluated against performance requirements, usability standards, and brand intent. Fit, construction tolerances, material behavior, and visual detailing were refined through iterative sampling cycles to ensure every product met functional expectations while reinforcing the collection’s unified design language across gloves, wraps, footwear, and bags.

Champ Boxing Glove | Premium Tier

Positioned as the anchor of the collection, the Champ Glove defined the highest level of material execution, structural support, and visual refinement within the tiered system. Built upon Hayabusa’s T360 platform, it introduced premium PU leather, integrated triple wrist splinting, and the Dual-X removable strap system, establishing the performance and detailing standard that guided the mid and entry tiers.

The Champ Glove anchored the tiered system, setting the highest standard for materials, support, and detailing. Built on Hayabusa’s T360 platform, it established the performance benchmark for the collection.

Contender Boxing Glove | Mid Tier

The Contender Glove translated the premium tier’s design language into a streamlined, high-volume training model. Designed for everyday use, it retained core structural support through dual wrist splints while introducing matte PU materials and simplified detailing to balance durability, performance, and accessibility within the tiered system.

The Contender Glove adapted the premium design language into a streamlined training model. Dual wrist splints and matte PU materials balanced support, durability, and accessibility within the tiered system.

Core Boxing Glove | Entry Tier

The Core Glove extended the collection’s design language into an accessible entry model without compromising structural integrity. Simplified construction, durable PU materials, and supportive padding delivered reliable protection while maintaining visual cohesion with the premium and mid tiers.
